Buying for a lab or department?
The questions procurement, security, and finance ask before they sign off.
How does Team billing work?
Team is priced per user per month. We invoice annually for purchase orders or charge the configured checkout provider monthly — start a Team inquiry from the billing page and we route procurement-ready details to your finance contact.
Can we self-host instead of using the hosted SaaS?
Yes. The full editor is MIT-licensed and self-hostable at no cost. Paid plans add managed operations — priority compilation, larger storage, support coverage — without forking the open-source core.
Where is our data stored, and can we export it?
Projects live in PostgreSQL with file blobs in S3-compatible object storage. Every project exports to ZIP (sources), PDF, DOCX, and SyncTeX, and Git push/pull keeps a copy under your own version control at any time.
Do you support SSO and an audit trail?
Team includes an admin dashboard and an audit log of administrative actions, with SSO readiness on the roadmap. Talk to us about your identity provider during the Team inquiry.
What happens to collaborators and projects if we cancel?
Downgrading keeps your data; only paid entitlements (extra collaborators, rich exports, priority compilation) revert to Free limits. You can export everything first, and self-hosting remains available as a fallback.
How fast is support?
Free uses community support, Pro adds email support, and Team adds priority support with an SLA so deadline-driven labs are not blocked.
Need a security review, invoice, or a procurement-ready quote?
Start a Team inquiryThe hosted SaaS funds priority compilation, support, and production operations. The open-source self-hosted edition remains available under the MIT license.
